KUCHING: The Sarawak Integrity and Ombudsman Unit (Union) together with Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP) Sarawak Branch are organising a state-level essay writing and virtual oratory competition.
Minister in Chief Minister’s Department (Integrity and Ombudsman) Datuk Talib Zulpilip today said the competition was organised in conjunction with the state-level Dekad Bahasa Kebangsaan 2021.
There are five themes and scopes for the competition, which is open to all Sarawakians throughout Malaysia aged 18 and above.
The terms and conditions can be obtained by scanning the QR code on the competition poster.
“Many attractive prizes await the winners. Participants can submit their entry starting today and the closing date is Aug 31.”
He said the objective of the competition was to generate awareness about integrity in life among the public and to intensify efforts to strengthen integrity in the community.
Moreover, entries would be documented and published into a book.
“The virtual oratory competition aims to cultivate the principle of integrity in a more friendly and relaxed approach and to explore new methods namely via video clips to create awareness.”
