KUCHING: Preparations are ongoing for Sarawak to host the 21st Para Malaysia Games (Para SUKMA) 2024.
Sarawak Deputy State Secretary (Operation) Datuk Hii Chang Kee said the Games will be held entirely in Kuching.
Hii, who is also the SUKMA and Para SUKMA chief executive officer said the biennial games will involve 10 sports encompassing 334 events.
He said this during an interview session with KLIA TV at his office here yesterday (Sept 3).
The interview focused on Sarawak’s preparations to host Para SUKMA which is scheduled to take place from Sept 22 to 28.
The sports that will be contested are Athletics, Swimming, Badminton, Table Tennis, Tenpin Bowling, Lawn Bowls, Chess, Powerlifting, Archery, and Boccia.
A total of 15 contingents from 13 states and the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Labuan will participate in the Games.
