KUCHING: The state government is proposing collaboration with Affin Bank in organising various activities to benefit the rakyat.
According to Women, Childhood and Community Well-being Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah, the collaboration will not only contribute to the people but also open up opportunities for the bank to be more visible in Sarawak.
She pointed out that activities organised would reach those living in the rural areas.
“We aim to hold another study to increase our Social Well-being Index from this year.
“God willing with the cooperation of various sectors or agencies such as Affin Bank in the organisation of activities, we will be able to care for the well-being of our people in various sectors,” she said after attending the Affin Bizchat in Kuching at Sheraton Hotel here today.
“We cannot do it alone, but if we work together as a solid team with the same mission and vision, we will be able to make our people prosperous… not only Sarawak but Malaysia as a whole.
“Apart from that, in terms of economic prosperity, social inclusivity, and environmental sustainability, which are always given focus by the state government,” she assured.
