KUCHING: Sarawak recorded a total of 424 COVID-19 cases during the 41st epidemiology (epid) week, a slight decrease compared to 442 cases during the 40th epidemic week.
Of the total number of cases during the 41st epid week, 418 cases were in categories one and two while six cases were in categories three, four, and five.
Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), in its weekly COVID-19 update, also said no COVID-19 related death was recorded in the 41st epid week.
In the 41st epid week, the committee said Kuching recorded the highest number of cases at 172, followed by Sibu (67), Miri (50), Bintulu (26), Mukah (17), Bau (15), Sarikei (10), Serian (10), Samarahan (nine), and Sri Aman (eight).
Meanwhile four cases were recorded in Simunjan, Saratok and Subis; three cases each in Dalat, Julau, Kapit and Pakan; two cases each in Lubok Antu, Meradong, Lawas, and Selangau.
Meanwhile, one case each was recorded in Marudi, Tanjung Manis, Betong, Lundu, Tatau, Kanowit, Kabong and Belaga.
