KUCHING: Sarawak recorded four new deaths involving Covid infection today (July 1) bringing the state’s Covid-19 death toll to 413.
The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement on Thursday (July 1) said the 410th death was a local woman aged 32 years from Telang Usan District, who passed away in Miri Hospital.
It said the case was confirmed as Covid-19 positive on June 26 with no comorbidities.
As for the 411th death, it said it was a 70-year-old local man originally from Subis District. They said the case’s body was brought to Miri hospital.
It said the case was confirmed as Covid-19 positive on June 23, adding that he suffered from comorbidities of high blood pressure.
The committee said the 412th death was a 71-year-old local man from Kanowit District, who passed away in Sibu Hospital.
It said the case was confirmed as positive for Covid-19 on June 22 and he had comorbidities of diabetes, high blood pressure, dyslipidaemia, chronic kidney disease and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
On the 413rd death, SDMC said this was a local woman aged 35 years, originally from Sibu District, who passed away in Sibu Hospital.
It said the case was confirmed as Covid-19 positive on June 19 and she had comorbidities of obesity.
