KUCHING: Sarawak once again recorded another drop of Covid-19 cases to 245 on Sunday (Nov 21) from a day before of 255, pushing the cumulative number of cases in the state to 249,336.
The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said that of the total cases reported, 240 cases were in Categories 1 and 2 while five cases were in Categories 3, 4 and 5.
Kuching accounted for the highest number of cases at 70, followed by Miri (59); Bintulu and Sibu (21 each); Lawas (15); Kanowit (nine); Serian and Limbang (six each).
“Five cases were reported in Pusa; four in Kapit; three in Betong and two cases each in Sarikei, Mukah, Sri Aman, Dalat, Selangau and Lubok Antu.
“Only one case each was reported in Samarahan, Simunjan, Lundu, Saratok, Asajaya, Bau, Subis, Meradong, Tebedu, Sebau, Tatau, Bukit Mabong, Marudi, and Julau,” the committee said in its daily statement today (Sunday).
It added three Covid-19 deaths occurred between Nov 16 and Nov 20 in Limbang and Sibu.
“Of the total, only one was brought-in-dead (BID) case, the other two victims had cancer and asthma. All fatalities involved those aged between 39 and 62,” the committee said.
The SDMC also revealed all six active clusters in the state had not recorded any new cases.
