KUCHING: Sarawak recorded zero Covid-19 case for three consecutive days on Sunday (Nov 28), as the total number of cases remains at 1,062.

Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement on Sunday (Nov 29) said there were no additional cases to the six existing active clusters in Sarawak.

The active clusters are Besi Cluster, Jalan Abell Cluster, Baki Cluster, Seladah Cluster, Greenhill Cluster and Wisma Saberkas Cluster.

The committee also informed that there were no new recovery and discharged cases from hospitals, thus bringing the cumulative total of recovered and discharged cases to 1,020 or 96.05 of the total cases recorded.

It stated that 23 patients are currently receiving treatment at isolation wards in hospitals, with 20 in Sarawak General Hospital (SGH), two in Sibu Hospital and one in Miri Hospital.

SDMC said while there were nine new persons-under-investigation (PUI) reported while no PUI are awaiting laboratory test results.

Meanwhile, the committee said that 240 persons-under-surveillance (PUS) had been checked into quarantine centres.

This brings the current total number of PUS to 3,671 persons, while 34,702 PUS completed their quarantine period.

Kuching and Miri districts still remain as yellow zones with 12 and three local transmitted cases reported in the respective districts in the last 14 days.
