KUCHING: Sarawak today (Sept 9) recorded nine new deaths linked to Covid-19, bringing the state’s Covid-19 death toll to 602 cases.
The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said five of the fatalities were female patients including one brought-in-dead (BID) case while the other four were male with one BID case. All the deaths involved senior citizens aged between 66 and 87 years with comorbidities.
Five of the deaths were reported at the Sarawak General Hospital in Kuching including an 82-year-old female brought-in-dead patient. The other BID case was a 75 year-old male who was brought in to the Simunjan Hospital.
Miri, Sibu and Sarikei hospitals each recorded one Covid-19 death respectively.
