KUCHING: The Malaysian Information Department (JaPen) Sarawak delegation led by its director, Helmy Hamid paid a courtesy visit to Sarawak State Secretary, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki today (26 July).

The purpose of the visit was to discuss and invite Abu Bakar to attend and launch the ‘National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang Campaign’ for Sarawak on August 3.

The event is expected to be officiated by Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof at the CIDB Convention Center here.

Additionally, JaPen Sarawak also presented and briefed Abu Bakar on the planning for the ‘Kita MADANI Carnival’ programme scheduled for the month of October.

Among those present during the courtesy visit were the director of the Protocol, Ceremonies, and Event Management Unit of Sarawak (UPPANS) Hamdan Sharbini, director of the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) Samuel Simon, and senior officers from JaPen Sarawak.
