KUCHING: The Sarawak State Stadium is ready to host the 21st Malaysian Games (SUKMA), scheduled to commence on August 17 – 24.
Regular site visits are being conducted by relevant parties and agencies to ensure seamless preparations as reported by Unit Komunikasi Awam Sarawak (UKAS).
During a recent visit to the state stadium today (Mar 21), the head of the delegation, Ahmad assured reporters that the stadium management team was fully committed to preparing the venue for the upcoming events.
He expressed confidence in the conducive environment of the stadium, believing that athletes, especially those from Sarawak, will be able to showcase their best performances.
Furthermore, the visit organised by the Sarawak Sports Council (SSC) provided an opportunity for organisers to address logistical and operational concerns with the Sarawak State Stadium, including transportation, accommodation, and catering arrangements for athletes and officials during the competition.
Following the site visit, Ahmad hoped that this 21st edition of SUKMA will be a successful and satisfying sporting event, showcasing the great performances of Sarawak athletes.
