KUCHING: Sarawak Eye has made a name for itself at the international level after receiving the Gold Award in the 2020 Muse Creative Awards.
Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, in announcing this, commended all those involved in achieving the success.
“The Muse Creative Awards is one of the highest achievements in the world of creative arts. It’s like winning a Grammy Award in the world of music.
“It is most definitely a proud moment for Sarawak to be able to achieve success up to this stage,” he said.
He said this at a press conference at a hotel, here today.
As a result of the victory, Abdul Karim said it can be seen that Sarawak possesses many talented and successful people in the arts industry.
“We are proud to see Sarawak’s young generation succeed internationally.
“Out of 4,618 entries from 57 countries, Sarawak was able to bring home the gold award from the competition,” he noted.
The entry by Sarawak Eye Creative Agency is ‘Xiananyang’, a series from Sarawak Eye Magazine about the history of Sarawakian Chinese.
Representing Malaysia against many other countries, Sarawak Eye won Gold Award in Muse Creative Awards for Content Marketing.
The Muse Creative Awards is an international competition catered to professionals from the creative and design industries that help foster new horizons for their industries.
Under the administration of the International Awards Associate (IAA), Muse Creative Awards is judged by a panel of professionals, who have received accolades in international settings. IAA oversees awards and recognition programmes, assembles judging panels, and sets rigorous standards for both competitions.
