KUCHING: Sarawak is optimistic about making history at the upcoming Malaysian Government Servants Welfare and Sports Council (MAKSAK) 2024 Games, with high hopes of defending its championship title.

Deputy State Secretary (Administration) and MAKSAK Sarawak Vice President, Datuk Buckland Bangik, expressed confidence in the state’s ability to deliver a strong performance.

Sarawak’s team will compete in Orienteering and Volleyball (Men’s & Women’s) from September 19 to 22 in Shah Alam, Selangor.

The contingent received a symbolic morale boost during a flag handover ceremony officiated by Buckland at Wisma Bapa Malaysia here yesterday.

The state team is fully prepared and focused on securing another victory, which will be a major milestone for MAKSAK Sarawak.
