KUCHING: The State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) continues day 15 of the statewide disinfection exercise with the involvement of 122 personnel yesterday.
According to State Bomba assistant operations director Tiong Ling Hii, a total of 10 disinfection operations were executed throughout Sarawak.
Four operations were carried out in Miri while three in Kuching, and one operation each in Bintulu, Serian and Limbang.
State Bomba Kuching Zone chief Henderi Ardimansyah said that the Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) headquarters, DBKU Depot as well as Kuching Post Office were sanitised as early as 9am yesterday, and involved a total of 26 personnel from Bomba and DBKU.
Meanwhile in Miri, two churches ― Holy Spirit Chapel, Permyjaya and Holy Rosary Chapel, Piasau Utara ― have also undergone sanitisation in the morning with an involvement of 14 personnel.
Since March 30, the department have conducted a total of 149 sanitisation operations throughout the state, with a total of 2,558 personnel involved from Bomba, local authority councils, police, district offices, Health Ministry (MoH), Civil Defence Force (APM), and People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela).
