KUCHING: The Ministry of Health (MOH) recently announced that face masks would only be required indoors with new rules and recommendations commencing this May 1.
However, there are concerns raised by some members of the public on the new SOPs. Although the rules are relaxed, they say the people still need to stay vigilant and must not let their guard down.

I welcome the new SOPs. Wearing of face masks indoors is still compulsory but optional outdoors. Because I work at an Innovation Hub and on the front desk no less, I have got used to the MySejahtera scans. But I trust the government had conducted its research thoroughly.

I agree with the new SOPs. It’s time we get back to our lives before and breathe the natural air. I do hope the authority could come out with solutions against facemask litterbugs.

I welcome the relaxed SOPs set by the Ministry of Health which will be effective on May 1. However, I think we still need to bring the masks with us wherever we go and use them especially in crowded place
