STB boosts brand awareness via FB Mandarin livestream

STB kicked off the first of its six social media sharing sessions in Mandarin on Oct 2.

KUCHING: The Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) conducted the first of its six Facebook livestream sessions to boost brand awareness of Sarawak among Mandarin-speaking audiences on Saturday (Oct 2).

The first session, titled ‘Interesting Trivia on Sarawak’ was hosted by STB China communications manager Heidi Tay and featured freelance writers Helen Ten Yien Hsia and Evangeline Thian Xinying, who discussed a variety of unique aspects of Sarawak, ranging from its culture, nature, food and festivals.

According to STB, the next session would be ‘What? You Don’t Know This Sarawak Food?’ on Oct 9, which would be presented by experienced travellers Christopher Kho Dee Yen and GS Travelist.

“YouTuber Ma Khai Leng and freelance writer Charles Kuay Chau Churh will delve into ‘Why West Malaysians Should Travel to Sarawak’ on Oct 16.

“Meanwhile, on Oct 23, photography enthusiasts can look forward to the sharing session titled ‘A Look into Sarawak Travel Photography’ by 2019 HIPA Grand Prize Award winner Edwin Ong and professional photographer Tan Jian Le.

“On Oct 30, one of Canon’s World Top 10 photographers Zheng Yang will also share his insights on ‘Sarawak: A Beijing Perspective’ and the series will wrap up on Nov 6 with a discussion on ‘Sarawak MM2H- We Are Different’ by Sarawak Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture permanent secretary Hii Chang Kee,” STB said on Monday (Oct 4).

Follow the sharing sessions and the Q&A segment to win any of these limited souvenirs from STB and Business Events Sarawak.

During each sharing session, Q&A segments will be opened, and winners will be selected and awarded limited souvenirs from STB and Business Events Sarawak.
