SARATOK: The seventh day of a search and rescue (SAR) operation for missing granny returned home empty-handed.

On Thursday (Nov 19) rescuers failed to find any trace of Rahobah Morni, 69, who has been missing since Nov 13 after she failed to return home from her farm in Kampung Semarang, Pusa.

State Fire Department (Bomba) said yesterday’s operation focused on the river area, the last location of the victim and the pathway to Semarang THP field, covering estimated radius of 1.3 kilometres.

“The SAR team was divided into three sections namely A, B and C involving 38 individuals.

“The SAR operation adjourned around 5pm and will resume the next day (Friday, Nov 20),” the statement said.

Rahobah, a grandma, was said to have gone out alone on foot from her house in Kampung Semarang, Pusa to the family’s farm in the morning.

When she failed to return home by 4.30pm, her sister sought the assistance of the villagers to look for her.
