SERIAN: A fire broke out this morning and destroyed a store.
According to the spokesperson of Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), they received a distress call regarding the incident at 4.30am.
The fire happened in a backyard at Kampung Lubok Ria, Jalan Ensengei Serian.
Firemen from Serian station were deployed to the scene to commence extinguishing works.
“The store was 100 per cent destroyed.
“Thankfully, there were no injuries or fatalities as a result of the fire,” he added.
The causes of the fire and total losses have yet to be ascertained.
