TANJUNG MANIS: A storeroom near a worker’s house was engulfed in a fire on Saturday morning (Aug 22).
According to the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre (PGO) in a statement, a distress call was received around 11.09pm.
A team of firemen from Tanjung Manis Fire and Rescue Station was then deployed to the scene.
Upon arrival, the team found that the 10×10 metres storeroom was already destroyed.
It is understood that the storeroom was used to store lawn mowers hardware, fuel and others. The fire incident did not involve any casualty.
Firefighters extinguished the fire at 11.43am and overhaul works were carried out to ensure that the situation was safe.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
