DARO: Storm victims at Sungai Serban in Nanga Lassa have gotten their lives back to normal after they received immediate assistance from Daro assemblyman Safiee Ahmad.
The house belonging to a family of five had its roof blown off during a storm about 6pm on Friday. This was the first time ever that the family had such an experience.
Fortunately several longhouses near to the victims’ house were not damaged.
Safiee said many people had come together on ‘gotong-royong’ basis to repair the damage.
“Alhamdullilah, the repair has been completed,” he said when contacted.
Safiee, who donated building materials for the repair, said he immediately sent his representative to visit the victims upon receiving the news.
