KUCHING: The Deputy Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, represented Sarawak as part of the Malaysian delegation that met with Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei during the 25th Annual Leaders’ Consultation (ALC-25) between Malaysia and Brunei, held at the Istana Nurul Iman in Bandar Seri Begawan.

The delegation, led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, aimed to discuss enhancing collaboration between Malaysia and Brunei in various sectors, including tourism, education, investment, literature, technology, and defence.

The collaboration is expected to bring significant benefits to Sarawak by stimulating economic growth, strengthening cultural relations, and creating new opportunities in key sectors.

Towards a new chapter, three bilateral instruments were signed to further strengthen the diplomatic relations between the two countries, which have been established for 40 years.
