BINTULU: Having five ministers in Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s cabinet is a good start for more development in Sarawak.
Jepak assemblyman Datuk Talib Zulpilip said with their appointment Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) had ministers of calibre in federal government.
He is also confident that GPS as a stable coalition of local component parties would bring stability to the federal government.
He hoped the new cabinet line-up can work together in the face of economic recession, inflation, and rising prices of goods next year.
“Let the government that has been given the trust govern the country properly,” he said after officiating the Safari Tech 2.0 Bintulu programme organised by the Sarawak Center of Technological Excellence (CENTEXS) at SMK Bintulu, today.
“Let’s hope that this new government is a government that has the interests of all the people.
“What we want is for the government to have time to carry out its duties considering that there are many problems arising in this country in terms of economy, high inflation and rising food prices.
“With the formation of a new and stable unity government cabinet, we want the country’s economy to grow, with job opportunities, he added.
