MIRI: Torrential rain and strong winds on Thursday night damaged more than 10 Ramadan stalls at the Miri Indoor stadium area here.
The affected traders were shocked when they went to their stalls early yesterday morning.
Mohd Fazil, 68, one of the affected traders, said: “I arrived this morning around 8am, bringing with me some sugar canes. I was shocked when I saw one of the tents at my stall was damaged.”
A brief check by the New Sarawak Tribune to the location (an open space outside Miri Indoor Stadium) found more than 10 stalls were damaged.
