KUCHING: Police arrested a 19-year-old student at 10.30pm on Thursday for the alleged rape of a girl with learning disabilities in his aunt’s house at Batu Kawah here.
Police confirmed that the victim who had enrolled in a skills training school in Stampin recently was waiting for family members to pick her up on Wednesday when the suspect came in a red car.
She was not familiar with him and he asked if she was a sister of his friend as he mentioned the victim’s brother’s name.
The victim answered ‘yes’, after which the suspect took her hand and dragged her into the car before going to a house behind Emart.
There he was alleged to have raped her twice before he brought her back to the school and left her there.
A police report was lodged and the victim was brought to Sarawak General Hospital for a check-up where it was confirmed that she had been raped.
The suspect has been detained for questioning.
