MIRI: A student, who fell from a building in Jalan Bintang here early Tuesday is currently being treated at the intensive care unit (ICU) of Miri hospital.

This was confirmed by Miri police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah when met today at the launching of the Sarawak Aerial Detection Unit.

“The female student is currently being treated at the ICU … she is alive.”

On Tuesday around 10am, the student, aged 18, was reported to have fallen from a height of about 10m.

She was found lying semi-conscious on a parking ramp by members of the public, who later alerted the police.

She suffered severe injuries to both her heels.
