SEBUYAU: About 140 students from Sebuyau constituency recently participated in a Robotics Programming Technology Skill Enhancement programme for B40 students.
The programme, organised by Yayasan Bank Rakyat in collaboration with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) aims at helping students to develop logical and systematic thinking in planning and implementing projects.
A total of 25 teachers and four UKM facilitators were involved in the programme.
Minister for Utility and Telecommunication Datuk Julaihi Narawi officiated at the event.
In his speech, he proposed for the establishment of the Sebuyau District Robotics Club to empower the local community to be in line with the modern era.
Also present at the event were UKM’s Electrical, Electronics and Systems Engineering Department lecturer and programme chairman Prof Dr Nazruk Anuar Nayan, Sebuyau District Officer Ayu Radiman, and Sebuyau District Education Officer Hasbi Acheh.
