KUCHING: SJK Chung Hua No 3 students will now learn about using natural compost as a type of fertiliser in their school garden and landscaping.

In a statement, Kuching South City Council (MBKS) mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng said the special compost is made from organic waste, which is material from plants and other natural things.

Wee said this after handing over the compost to the school headmistress Choo Chin Moi Today (August 15).

This activity was organised by Zone 5 councillor Bong Siak Peng and MBKS officers.

They wanted to show schools and everyone else that it’s good to use organic waste instead of just throwing it away.
