MIRI: Continuous rain for more than 12 hours on Thursday has caused several areas in Subis district to flood.
According to Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) officer in charge Lt (PA) Mirwan Shah Masri, these areas are Rumah Ayai Sawing, Rumah Nelson Ningkan Kumbang and Sekolah Kebangsaan Rumah Mentali.
Mirwan said that the flooding happened after heavy rain for over 12 hours, which caused the river (Sungai Saeh) to overflow.
He added that APM was monitoring the situation and was always standing by should anything happen in those areas.
Mirwan disclosed that as of yesterday (Friday), the floodwater level in these areas was about two to three feet high.
