DALAT: Village Development and Safety Committees (JKKK) have been told to diligently submit status reports on projects being carried out in their areas.
Women, Childhood and Community Well-being Development, Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah said this is imperative especially involving the Minor Rural Project – Sarawak Poor House Improvement Project (MRP-PPRMS).
“I see that some of the JKKK have upgraded houses here to achieve a progress status of 80 and 90 per cent.
“This is good progress, but reports on these projects need to be submitted according to the set dates,” she said during the Minor Rural Project (MRP) Grant Presentation Ceremony at the Dalat Welfare Complex, here, yesterday.
Fatimah, who is also Dalat assemblywoman, said reports need to be submitted to ensure the projects receive second phase allocations.
“If there are JKKKs that do not submit these, receiving second phase allocations will be quite difficult, and this will affect the people in that area.
“Each JKKK needs to submit complete reports and take pictures before, during, and after the project implementation,” she stressed.
She presented MRP grants amounting to RM567,500 to 54 recipients.
In addition, she also presented RM85,000 from the state government for two projects involving non-Muslim houses of worship here.
