KUCHING: Sarawak United FC will fully utilise its squad, including the reserves and the youths, in the upcoming 2023 Malaysia M3 League.

The aforementioned group of players are the senior squad that competed in the Malaysia Super League last season, the President’s Cup and the Youth Cup, which Sarawak United FC president Datuk PosaMajais said will be the core of squad this season.

“What is certain is that last season’s players from the senior squad will be strengthened with the squad playing in President’s Cup and the Youth Cup in order for us to take on the challenge in M3 League this year.

“We will not have any star players or foreign players in the squad and we will shift our focus on utilising our local players instead,” Posa told New Sarawak Tribune and Arena Suara Sarawak.

The 2023 Malaysia M3 League campaign will kick-start on March 4 with Sarawak United travelling away from home to face Harini Selangor FT at the Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Stadium in Serdang, Selangor at 8.45pm.

It is followed by another away game against Bukit Tambun FC at Stadium Negeri in Batu Kawan, Penang on March 11 at 4.45pm.

Sarawak United FC will be back welcoming Malaysia University on matchday three at Stadium Negeri,Kuching at 4.15pm.

2023 Malaysia M3 League will feature 14 teams which are Armed Forces FC, Bukit Tambun FC, Harini Selangor FT, Immigration FC, Kuala Kangsar BRM FC, KualaLumpur Rovers, Malaysia University, Manjung City FC, Melaka FC, Naga Ultimate KS FC, Perlis United FC, PIB Shah Alam FC, Sains FC, along with Sarawak United FC.
