KUCHING: Sarawak United FC II (SUFC II) finished the 2022 President’s Cup campaign in fourth place.
The reserve side collected 12 points from three wins, three draws and four losses.
In the final Group C game, Safri Amit’s charges managed to collect all three points after recording a narrow 1-0 victory over UiTM FC at Stadium Sarawak, Petra Jaya last Monday.
The winning goal was scored by Mohd Faris in the 57th minute.
“Despite ending in fourth spot, I am still satisfied with the overall performance of the players,” Safri told Arena Suara Sarawak.
“The players have been highly committed throughout through the campaign. There’s a significant improvement in the team.”
He said the players would be given for a five-day break before returning to training next Monday.
