KUCHING: The Sarawak 2022 Sukma football team will consist of reserve players from M-League sides Sarawak United FC (SUFC) and Kuching City FC (KCFC).
“We are looking at (President’s Cup and Youth Cup) reserve players from SUFC II, SUFC III, KCFC II and KCFC III,” according to Sukma squad gaffer Safri Amit.
He added that he would select the best players and “some of them are already on my radar.”
“Currently, the players are focused on their respective campaigns. The President’s Cup and the Youth Cup will end in August.
“We will call up the players who have been identified to join centralised training for the Sukma (Malaysia Games).”
The 2022 Sukma, hosted by Kuala Lumpur, will take place from Sept 16 to 24.
