KUALA LUMPUR: Sarawak notched another victory today at the Sukma Games through the women’s pole vault event.
Team Sarawak’s Evelyne Tan Xie Yie took gold, having cleared 2.9 metres (m) in her second attempt.
Nur Anis Natasha Abdul Razif of FT Kuala Lumpur was second, after failing to clear 2.9m in three attempts and settling for 2.8m.
Penang’s Ch’ng Qin Yan finished third with a 2.5m clearance.
The athletics camp also clinched silver in the men’s discus throw category.
Jonah Chang Rigan landed a 43.82m throw, securing second place after Perlis’ Kamal Farhan A Rahman’ 48.80m record, while the bronze medal went to Johor’s Tan Jing Cheng with a 41.25m throw.
