KUALA LUMPUR: Sun Life Malaysia inaugurated its first branch here on April 30, marking a significant step in its commitment to providing enhanced financial protection to clients in East Malaysia.
The expansion aligns with Sun Life Malaysia’s client-centric strategy, aimed at making protection more accessible and convenient for its clientele.
Chief executive officer and president/country head Raymond Lew underscored the company’s mission to foster a financially resilient society.
“Through this local office, we aim to better understand and address the specific needs of the local market by tailoring our insurance and takaful solutions.
“Ultimately, this initiative aims to enhance the overall client experience and contribute to building a financially resilient society.”
Lew highlighted the growth potential of Sarawak and expressed eagerness to serve the Sarawakian community.
“With East Malaysia, particularly Sarawak, demonstrating significant growth potential, given its population of 2.7 million and projected growth rate of five per cent to six per cent this year, the new office serves as our gateway to expand Sun Life’s presence in the region.
“We are committed to serving more Sarawakians and offering them the best insurance and takaful solutions.”
The newly established Kuching office will provide essential services to Sun Life’s life insurance and family takaful clients, including addressing product inquiries, facilitating renewals and claims, and managing document submissions and collections.
Clients will also have access to experienced advisors for financial planning assistance, including investment and retirement planning advice.
Additionally, Sun Life Malaysia aims to expand its agency force by 30 per cent and triple its Million Dollar Round Table qualifiers.
The newly opened location will serve as a platform for local advisors to access resources, tools, and training necessary to support clients in achieving lifelong financial security.
The Sun Life Kuching office, located at Lot 18, Ground & 1st Floor, Milan Square, Jalan Wan Alwi, will be open to clients daily from 8.30am to 5.30pm.
