KAPIT: The Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Kapit Branch held its executive committee members meeting recently chaired by branch chairman James Ling Thian Ing.
Among those present together were deputy chairman Datuk Yong Hua Sying, secretary David Wong, Youth chief Wong Chong Wei, and Women chief Jenny Yii Seek Geok.
Among the matters raised at the meeting included reiterating their undivided support to Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) led by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg, as well as to support the Kapit GPS leaders.
They also brought up the nomination of candidates for councillors to Kapit District Council as the current councillor’s term of services expires on June 30. The meeting also endorsed the incumbent councillors of Kapit District Council.
In addition, the branch also raised concerns over healthcare services provided at Kapit Hospital. They proposed to erect a new multi-story concrete block to introduce specialised healthcare services to patients there.
