KUCHING: The Kuching branch of the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) is gearing up to celebrate its 65th anniversary on June 29.
The event, themed “Striving for the People, Moving Towards the Future,” promises to be a significant occasion for the party members.
The organising committee, led by chairman Lucas Lim and supported by other committee members, has been working diligently to ensure the celebration is a success.
“The celebration will commence at 3 pm at the parking lot ground floor of the Kuching branch near Pertanak,” it said through a statement today.
“Party members can look forward to engaging in fun games and competitions. Due to limited space, attendance is restricted to party members and tickets are required. Interested individuals can contact the Kuching branch for more information,” it said.
The evening will continue with a dinner at 6 pm with the branch chairman and the Party Central Committee chairman delivering their speeches.
“The dinner will also feature the cutting of the anniversary cake and a lucky draw. Reflecting on the 65-year history of SUPP, the celebration aims to remind party members of their foundational goals — to prioritise the people and continue the legacy of their forefathers in serving the community,” it said.
Generous donations from party members and supporters will be used to fund welfare and social work in the Padungan constituency. For further assistance or inquiries, contact: 019-987-8778.
