MIRI: A mobile service event will be held here on the Kenyalang Gold Card (KGC) and Sarawak Senior Citizen Health Benefits (SCHB) programme.
Organised by the Sarawak United Peoples’ Party’s (SUPP) Piasau Youth and Women’s movements it will be held on Nov 9-10, from 9am to 5pm at the Miri Indoor Stadium.
The event aims to assist senior citizens in applying for the Kenyalang Gold Card which provides for various benefits for Sarawakians aged 60 and above.
In collaboration with the Sarawak Welfare Department, the organisers will provide an on-site application service that will enable eligible individuals to receive their Kenyalang Gold Card immediately upon successful processing, disclosed organising committee adviser, Datuk Sebastian Ting.
Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria, including being 60 years or older and holding a “K” identity card.
Applicants are advised to bring photocopies of both the front and back portions of their identity cards, and, if applicable, those of their guardians.
For those unable to attend, an online registration option is available at iSarawakCare, with the option to collect the card at the Miri Indoor Stadium.
On-site applicants should also bring a photocopy of their and their beneficiary’s identity cards.
Following the Kenyalang Gold Card application, qualified cardholders can apply for the Sarawak Senior Citizen Health Benefits programme, which offers up to RM500 annually in medical assistance at participating clinics across the state.
