SIBU: Former PKR Sibu branch chairman Robert Lim (pic) is not happy that “certain people” are ignoring the contributions, struggles and sacrifices of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his wife Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah.
“PKR members should not forget how Anwar led PKR from a mere one-seat mosquito party to the biggest ruling PH party today,” Lim said in a press statement yesterday.
Lim added that Anwar deserved to be the next prime minister after what he had undergone in his political struggle including his time in jail.
“Undoubtedly, in his capacity as the president of this biggest component party of the Pakatan Harapan government, commanding 50 parliamentary seats and 67 state seats, Anwar definitely will be the next prime minister,” he said.
Lim spoke of “an agreement made before 14th GE between current PM Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad (Bersatu), Lim Kit Siang (DAP), Mohd Sabu (Amanah) and Anwar (PKR)” which he said should see Anwar becoming prime minister in two years’ time.
“PKR members must support Anwar as next PM,” he said.
