KUCHING: The Transfusion and Blood Bank Service Department of Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) is calling more blood donors to support its coming blood donation programme.
The department in a statement issued today said there would be five blood donation drives from July 9 till July 12 at various venues here.
The first one on July 9 will start from 9am to 2pm at the Petra Jaya health clinic.
On July 11, a blood donation drive will be held at two separate venues — Eastern Mall in Siburan and Emart in Tabuan Jaya. Both programmes will be from 10am till 3pm.
As for July 12, there will also be two blood donation drives held at separate venues — MBKS Community Hall and the second floor of Kuching Sentral. Both will be from 10am till 3pm.
SGH’s blood bank mobile unit will also be stationed at the respective venues.
“The Blood Bank of SGH appeals to all donors to ensure that it has continuous and sufficient blood stock,” it said.
