KUCHING: The Bung Bratak Heritage Association (BBHA) is thankful for the support of Tourism, Creative Industries and Performing Arts Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah.

In stating this, its chairman Datuk Peter Minos commended Abdul Karim for directly and indirectly supporting Bidayuhs who had exceptional talents such as Datuk Pandelela Rinong and Dewi Liana Seriestha.

“They are Sarawak youth who excelled in their field. Hence, they must be supported as they bring honour to Sarawak.

“That is why we are very happy and appreciate the support that was given by the Minister,” he said in a statement on Tuesday (Feb 14).

Minos pointed out that Pandelela is a Malaysian diving queen who had gone international and brought pride to the nation while Dewi who is a singer and actress had won the World Talent in London in 2014.

“BBHA has been with them for years now and I know they have made personal sacrifices in terms of time, efforts, leisure, and even in finance.
