MUKAH: Tellian incumbent Yussibnosh Balo has urged the people here to continue to support Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) regardless of who the candidate would be nominated to defend the seat in the coming 12th state election soon.
He said whether he would be renominated to represent GPS or another candidate might be nominated, it is important that the people need to support that person.
Yussibnosh, however, said he did not know when exactly the state election would be held.
“I guess polling may be held in December and nomination in November,” he said when officiating at the closing of Randau Solidariti Komuniti at a multipurpose hall in Kampung Petanak here on Saturday (Nov 13).
About 50 community leaders attended the half-day event which featured talks on current issues presented by government departments and agencies.
Acting Mukah district officer Peleadzman Ahip, Mukah district police chief DSP Muhamad Rizal Alias, Mukah Division National Unity and Integration Department officer Lau Siew Yen and pemanca Mohamad @ Jali Kawi also attended the event.
