KUCHING: Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) chairman Lo Khere Chiang has urged Sarawakians to get behind Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.
“Our chief minister is championing to get back our rights, wealth and resources.
“I have reminded our councilors and staff that we are under the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) state government,” he said at a press conference after a full council meeting at his office in Kota Padawan near here yesterday.
“I am confident that not just those here at MPP but also the other 32 councils throughout Sarawak would disseminate the right information about state government policies to Sarawakians and rally behind GPS,” he said.
“This is to ensure when our chief minister looks behind him, not only will he see ‘generals’ but also ‘soldiers’, ready to support him in our demands to regain our rights, wealth and resources as enshrined in the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).”
