SARIKEI: The Darul Huda Surau New Building Project here, costing RM500,000, has been fully completed.
According to Kuala Rajang assemblyman Datuk Len Talif Salleh, this surau is one of the projects under the Rural Transformation Project (RTP) which started in December 2022.
“Of course, this surau will benefit the local residents to perform worship.
“The cooperation and support of all the people, especially the Muslims in Sarikei, will further facilitate all the planning and implementation of houses of worship such as suraus and mosques here,” he said.
He said this when declaring open the Darul Huda Surau at Jalan Rahman Keria, here, on Thursday.
As such, he said, there are many other matters that needed to be done such as the interior fittings of the surau and parking spaces around it.
He was confident that Sarikei would be the focus when all the development projects currently being implemented are fully completed.
