SHAH ALAM: The latest National Health and Morbidity Survey (NHMS) 2022 has revealed a rise in the prevalence of electronic cigarette usage, commonly known as vaping, among teenagers aged 13 to 17.
According to Health director-general Datuk Dr Muhammad Radzi Abu Hassan, there has been a noticeable increase from 9.8 percent in 2017 to 14.9 percent in 2022.
This surge is particularly evident among teenage girls, with figures climbing from 2.8 percent in 2017 to 6.2 percent in 2022.
