KUCHING: A 35-year-old Indonesian was arrested at the departure hall of the Kuching International Airport (KIA) on Thursday morning for possession of pellets in his sling bag.
The suspect was caught at about 11am at the domestic airport departure hall as a scanning machine operator saw the four pellets.
She alerted police who detained the suspect before boarding a flight from Kuching to Miri.
Police found four pellets and four empty cartridges stored in a leather sling bag. The suspect did not have any permit or licence to carry the pellets.
He was detained for further questioning.
