MIRI: A suspension bridge over the Baram River connecting Kampung Nahah’a to its surrounding areas will be built soon, says Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau.

Speaking at the launching of Kampung Nahah’a longhouse extension project which involved 73 doors recently, he said, the construction of the suspension bridge connecting the village would benefit not only 1,092 of its villagers, but also outsiders.

Presently, the Kampung Nahah’a longhouse has 135 doors.

“It would become a crucial link for the villagers, schoolchildren, teachers and staff of a nearby clinic as well as visitors to travel crossing the Baram River,” he said.

On another note, Dennis has also announced a grant worth RM5,000 from his Minor Rural Project (MRP) allocation to BEM Nahah’a, another RM5,000 to Kampung Nahah’a and RM5,000 to BEM Dataran Tinggi Hosana.
