SERIAN: A man was killed after the Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) he was driving fell into a ditch following a collision with a lorry near SK Telagus at Serian-Sri Aman Road here on Thursday (8 September).
According to the information given by the Fire and Rescue Department (BOMBA), the Chinese man who died at the scene of the incident which happened at about 4.31pm, were initially trapped in his Toyota Fortuner.
Firefighters from the Serian station rushed there after receiving an emergency call and acted swiftly to extricate the victim from the wreckage with special equipment.
Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by the paramedics from the Ministry of Health.
His body was handed over to the police and to be taken to the hospital for post-mortem.
Meanwhile, the lorry driver escaped unscathed from the accident.
