KUCHING: The Sarawak Amateur Masters emerged as overall champions for the Speedo Malaysian International Masters 2017 swimming championship, here, on Saturday.

With a combined score of 1,559 points, they beat New Wave Swimming Club and the Chinese Swimming Club who finished second and third with 1,391 and 181 points respectively.

In fourth place were the Hong Kong Swordfish Club (145.5 points), followed respectively by Singapore Swimming Club (142 points), Penang Swimming Club (132 points), Pusat Sukan Tumpuan (107 points), Aquashark Swim Team (85 points), and Mahesh Karunarathne Aquatics (71 points).

The president of Amateur Swimming Association of Sarawak (ASAS) Dato Wee Hong Seng who gave away the prizes was pleased to note that 39 new records were set in the championship.
