KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, received a courtesy call from several heads of federal department and agency based in Sarawak at the Astana on Wednesday.
The Sarawak Federal Secretary Datuk Ahmad Nazri Mohd Hassan said that the courtesy call aimed to introduce the leadership of the federal departments and agencies serving in Sarawak, and to strengthen the relationship between the federal and state governments.
He also expressed hope that through this close relationship, the agenda on security, economic development, and other nation building aspects could be carried out smoothly.
Among those present were the heads of departments and agencies serving in the public service sector.
Meanwhile, those from other sectors, such as development, economy, education, and social affairs, will make a courtesy call in October.
Also present were Wan Junaidi’s wife Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi and the Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Mancha Ata.
