KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg launched the first Sarawak Centexs-SDEC 5G Test Bed and Huawei Advanced Training Programme: Certified ICT Associate, Centre of Excellence Open Lab, Augmented Virtual Reality (AVR) Training Lab 2020 yesterday.
The 5G test beds and augmented reality (AR) programmes are the initiatives taken by the state government to make sure that the people of Sarawak are prepared to handle devices for the future.
Centexs has several training programmes and labs, in collaboration with Huawei, to help the people of Sarawak to understand the technology better.
New Sarawak Tribune interviewed members of the public to have a better understanding on how they feel about the 5G bed test and the AR programmes that are being introduced.

“Technology is always changing, so by doing this the people of Sarawak will be able to get first-hand experience and get to know it better. In the future, universities can also take part in this programme to generate interest among their students to participate in this field.”
