KUCHING: With excitement building for the 4th Sarawak Short Course Sprint (SSCS) 2024, Swim Art Aquatic (SAA) are ready to make their mark.
SAA’s head coach, Gary Lau, is optimistic about the team’s future and shared his pride in the team’s preparation and determination.
“Our swimmers have worked incredibly hard, and this competition is their chance to prove how far they’ve come.
“At Swim Art, we don’t just focus on performance but also on developing character and discipline,” he said.
He added that this is just the beginning for us as SAA have big plans ahead, and he believed his swimmers will rise to the occasion in upcoming competitions.
The SAA also expressed appreciation to their sponsors for their vital support in making this journey possible.
With 114 swimmers competing under their banner, the team are eager to showcase their progress in this event set to take place from October 25 to October 27 at the Pandelela Rinong Aquatic Centre.
The event will attract over 550 swimmers representing 26 teams from the Philippines, Indonesia, Brunei, and Malaysia.
Competitors will race in sprint events across shorter distances.
The SSCS 2024, organised by the Power Aquatics Swimming Club (PASC) with support from the Sarawak Sports Corporation (SSC), will feature sprint events over shorter distances, providing a platform for young swimmers to demonstrate their skills.
